Comparing Cleaning Wipe Rolls Beyond the Roll Price
Do two similarly priced rolls of cleaning wipes offer the same value?
Before comparing prices, I would check:
• Fibre composition and GSM
• Sheet dimensions
• Sheets per roll
• Rolls per carton
• Core size and dispenser compatibility
For example, 80 sheets and 90 sheets per roll need to be converted to a price per sheet first. If sheet dimensions differ, I would also compare the cost per square metre.
Then comes the practical question: how many sheets are needed for the same cleaning task?
I would check wet strength, absorbency and whether the perforation allows one sheet to separate cleanly. These details are worth including in a trial when assessing consumption and waste.
My approach: make the specification and usage clear before judging the roll price.
Which do you check first: price per roll, price per sheet, or performance in use?
