What a Cleaning Wipe Test Report Can Tell Buyers

An SGS test report is useful. But what exactly does it tell a buyer?

When evaluating nonwoven cleaning wipes, I believe the first question should be: What was actually tested?

For example, a report may cover:

• Fibre composition – whether the tested sample matches the stated material blend.

• Absorbency – how the material performs under a specified test method.

• Colour fastness – how the tested material responds under defined testing conditions.

These results can provide valuable evidence when comparing suppliers.

However, a test report for one sample does not automatically guarantee that every future production batch will perform identically.

That is why I think three details matter:

Which product and sample does the report cover?

Which test methods and conditions were used?

How will consistency be checked during future production?

As a supplier, I would rather explain the limits of a test report clearly than make promises the evidence cannot support.

A good test report should help buyers make informed decisions, not simply provide another document for their files.
