Cleaning Wipe Consumption: Sheet Size, Perforation and Waste

A lower price per roll looks attractive. But how much cleaning does that roll actually deliver?

I’d compare sheet size, sheet count, GSM and fibre composition first.

For example, 90 sheets at 35 × 50 cm contain around 17% more material area than 90 sheets at 30 × 50 cm. But extra area only adds value if the task needs it.

Then I’d look at waste in use:

• Does one sheet do the job, or are several needed?

• Is an oversized sheet being discarded after a small task?

• Do sheets tear cleanly at the perforation, without damaging the next one?

My approach would be a small trial on the same cleaning task, recording sheets used and sheets wasted.

Price per roll starts the comparison. Actual consumption helps complete it.

What causes more waste in your experience: sheet size, tearing, or needing extra sheets?
